Dr Mandy Ellis is passionate about helping children, adolescents, families and couples cultivate healthy psychological growth and improve relationships post separation.
Mandy has a Doctorate in Educational and Developmental Psychology, a Masters in School Psychology, and a BSc in Psychology and also has extensive experience working with the Family Court of Australia as a Child Expert. Mandy currently works as a psychologist on the Northern Beaches assisting children, adolescents and families, providing family therapy and running child educational and group programs such as Circle of Security, Tuning Into Kids, Tuning Into Teens, Parenting Coordination and Positive Behaviour Strategies.
As a child consultant Mandy brings to the role not only her wealth of experience but also a depth of care for children and adolescents as well as their parents. She is passionate about being able to meet with kids/ adolescents to understand their point of view and needs post separation. Mandy then provides feedback to parents which includes her expert understanding the developmental needs of their children particular to their age and circumstances.
Mandy hopes that by working with families ahead of mediation that parents can have an informed discussion regarding what is in the best interests of their children and that this will lead to the next chapter of their lives post separation starting as best as it possibly can, with conflict reduced and the need to attend court avoided.
